Power BI Desktop for independent contractor

My client wants me to explore using Power BI for reporting out of their SQL Server system on Azure.  However, as I'm independent I have a personal hotmail account and not a business or education account. Every time I've tried to sign up for a trial of Power BI it rejects me for want of a business or educational email.

Is there any way for me to download, install, and test Power BI Desktop in this situation?
