Power BI Desktop evaluation

I am rather new to Power BI and Power BI Desktop.  Just started palying with some data and reports.
Is there a reliable COTS evaluation out there, particularly for the Desktop?

      Thank you so much for the response and the willingness to add to my knowledge.  I am examining Power BI and Power BI Desktop for possible application to a small startup business.  While I can judge for myself some things, such as usability (user interface, customization, ease of data pulls, ease of data manipuilation, etc) and installation/configuration, there are some other areas I would want to have other users' opinions.  These are stability, reliability, integration (particularly with SQL and MS Office suite), scalability, and support.
