Power BI Desktop evaluating all data sources when creating new data connection
Hello,
I have a report with several ODBC data connections. When I add a new data source (also ODBC) Power BI "Evaluates" all exisiting data sources before loading my new data source. A few months ago I was able to create a new data connection without this happening.
Is there a setting I need to change to only load and apply the new data connection upon creation?

I matched those settings and it did not resolve the issue.

Hi AL123,
Sorry for delay reply.
Baesd on my test, you can change the privacy levels to solved the issue.
Change the setting as:
When Ignore the Privacy levels and potentially improve performance is selected, the data will be combined ignoring your Privacy Levels which could reveal sensitive or confidential data to an unauthorized user. The setting may improve performance and functionality.
Security Note: Selecting Ignore the Privacy levels and potentially improve performance may improve performance; however, Power BI Desktop cannot ensure the privacy of data merged into the Power BI Desktop file.
