Power BI Desktop connection to OBIEE RPD

Hi,

I was trying to connect Power BI desktop tool to Oracle Obiee 11g RPD via ODBC connection. 

However havnt been successfull doing that.

Has anyone tried this and been successful in this?

This is a common issue with the ODBC driver, it’s either an ODBC problem or a “waiting for DSN” issue. We have an app called BI Connector that connects OBIEE to Power BI in minutes. Here's a video tutorial:

Hi All,

I am trying to install BI connector, so that I can access OBIEE subject areas/ Reports in Power BI. In ODBC administrator, I am adding new data source as 'BI Connector Driver'. I am following the below steps for configuration.

 Still I am getting the below error.

Please note, I use a VPN connection to access the database and the obiee server is in a windows remote machine.

i am also trying to use BI Connector, but it does not load any subject areas for me. Did you have any luck connecting

Hey, I'm trying to do the same thing. When I connect, it just hangs on "Waiting for DSN".

I know that accessing the RPD requires 3 pieces of information as dictated by connecting to it through the OBIEE Admin Tool: Repository Password, Username and Password.
