Power BI Desktop Version 2.118.828.0: Memory error: Memory Allocation failure . Try simplifying or r
I've just downloaded and installed Power Bi Desktop version 2.118.828.0 from Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center and now for serveral existing (larger) pbix files (with import mode data) I'm receiving this error message:
Error Message:
Memory error: Memory Allocation failure . Try simplifying or reducing the number of queries.
An error occurred while loading Vertipaq data objects for multiple tables.
Not acceptable!
- In the end the solution was easy: I've noticed I've downloaded and installed the 32bit version of PBI Desktop instead of the 64bit version 😄 Switched now back and it works again on all models.

FrankPreusker , Try to increase Cache memory management to 8-10 GB supported by RAM
Go to File-> Options and settings -> Options -> Security Option -> Data Load
Change Data Cache to 8-10 GBThanks for the suggestion amitchandak
I tried to extend the cache by multiple of 2/3/4 up to 16.384kb, but no change. Still the same. Smaller models I can open, larger ones are failing.
