Power BI Desktop - Update Release Policy
Dear Power BI gurus, does exist some best practice about Power BI desktop updates policies? It is advisable to allow all users to download always the most recent release? How to avoid the nightmare of different versions across the team?

Please follow below for Power BI Desktop Updates;
1.Control updates through tools like Windows Update for Business or Microsoft Intune to ensure consistency across the team.
2.Set a designated version for the team to avoid using the "latest" version unless thoroughly tested.
3.Schedule updates at regular intervals (e.g., quarterly) to ensure all users are on the same version.
4.Inform the team about version changes and new features, and encourage updates at the same time to maintain consistency.

Hello alfBI ,
I myself don't update the latest version once released since it faces some bugs, so I always have version -1 to avoid the bug explosion.
but I would always suggest to stay up to date with the newest updates but with a -1 version.
