32 GB of RAM should give you enough breathing space for this year. Note that you will also need to dive into the Power BI config files to optimize the use of your available resources. Some of the mashup container limits are rather low.

It's a moving target. Read Chris Webb's blog. Regularly comb through the Power BI blog, and the Power BI Desktop settings.
