Power BI Desktop Opening external website

Can Power BI Desktop open an external website via the URL path.

My data table has the following JIRA URL in an existing column  "https://xxx.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/issue/xxx"

When I click on the link it opens the Json script.

This gives me the impression that Power BI Desktop could open an external website with some manipulation.

Can anyone please confirm if this is possible?

I ended up creating a new table with a common attribute and a unique URL link for each entry, linked that to my existing data table.

This resolved my issue.
