Power BI Desktop OLE DB or ODBC error when refreshing

I've had several Power BI reports running in my environment and refreshing with no issues. However, now when I go to refresh data within Power BI desktop,  I'm getting "OLE DB or ODBC error". That's it. There is literally no additional details or error messages.

 

I've tried several different Power BI reports (they are all using SQL as the backend) but I tried several different SQL instances and got the same error.

I even tried creating a brand-new Power BI report and got the same error.

 

Anyone have any suggestions?

 

Things I've done:

 

  • Cleared Cache
  • I'm able to Refresh all queries in Power query with no issues.
  • I can connect to all of the SQL instances and have the proper permissions.
  • Tested opening PBI desktop as an administrator and refreshing.
  • Manually gone through my queries and verified that there's no errors that pop up.PBIDesktop error.PNG

Okay, I solved it myself.

 

I had to completely uninstall and re-install PBI desktop and now it's working.
