Power BI Desktop Not Connecting to Access

I get this error message whenever I try to connect to an Access database (PowerBI.accdb for example), but I can connect to Excel spreadsheets just fine.

Details: "Microsoft Access: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine 2010 Access Database Engine OLEDB provider is required to connect to read this type of file. To download the client software, visit the following site: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=285987."

I don't know what this error message means.  I followed the link shown and installed the latest version of Power BI Desktop as it instructed.  I have 64-bit Office and Power BI Desktop, but I'm still getting this same error message.  Please help.

Hi

I guess you need to download the Microsoft Access Database Engine driver. You can download it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

Hope this helps
