Power BI Desktop - No Power BI Datasets Connection
I think the issue is with the mobile version, I am trying to use paramters in a mobile format and there it doesn't work, but I create a new version - a desktop version it works fine
When in "Mobile Layout View" the PowerBI Desktop hides whole bunch of things (including: filter pane, modeling tabl, visual "Build" section). That's normal.
When working in "mobile layout view" you drag&drop visuals you've created in desktop view.
Try creating the visuals you are trying to get (with field parameters) on the Desktop View. When you are done, switch to Mobile Layout View and drag them to the canvas from the list you will see on the right side (or use Auto Create button, it will do it for you).
If you managed to make it work in desktop, it will work in mobile view as well.

You’re probably not facing a bug. Microsoft has recently renamed and reorganized some connection experiences in Power BI Desktop.
The old “Power BI Datasets” connector is now often exposed as :
- Power BI semantic models
- or through the OneLake Data Hub / Fabric experience depending on your Power BI Desktop version.
A few things you can check :
- Update to the latest version of Power BI Desktop
- Look under :
- Get Data → Power Platform
- OneLake Data Hub
- or directly from the Home ribbon via Power BI semantic models - Make sure you are signed in with the correct account/tenant.
Also, Microsoft is progressively replacing the term dataset with semantic model, so the naming difference is expected in newer versions.

Thank you! But I am following the steps and I am doing a connection with Power BI Semantic Data Model, but by some reasons the fields parameters are not transfered
Are you connecting via live connection or direct query? Field parameters in the original semantic model do not work in the local copy of the semantic model and must be re-created.
