Power BI Desktop Many to Many Relationships on slicer Month & Year

Hi All, I need help on making these 2 tables using the same slicer. I'm using direct query method.

Capture.PNG

Mark Number 1.

Data comes from tableComplaint it has Month and Year column

Mark Number 2.

Data comes from tableComplaintRate it has Month and Year column

How can I create a slicer Month & Year to unite those two tables?

Thank you 🙂

HI @sherlycheng,

Actually, if your tables not direct linked with date column, I'd like to suggest you create bridge calendar to link date columns from different tables.  Then use bridge date as source of slicer to filter on two side tables.

BTW, if your tables not use date column as key to create relationship and use date column from one of these tables as source of slicer. Filter effect will direct apply on source table and use related records to filter other table.
