Power BI Desktop June 2021 - Memory Issue unable to load Desktop

Hi,

 

I have downloaded the latest version of Power BI Desktop (June 2021) but the Desktop is not opening up.

There is no error but the memory usage goes up to 98% and the App just hangs.

Hi @AvPowerBI ,

 

If you still cannot solve the issue,sorry for that, I do not found an effective solution since I could not reproduce your problem.
It's suggested go to https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/ ,scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET" for further help if you are a pro user.

No issue is still happening, I did a a upgrade from February 2021 to June 2021, I have had to go back to February 2021

The latest version June 2021 works on my side.

Did you try to install some old versions?

 

Please kindly refer to the official troubleshooting document: Troubleshoot opening Power BI Desktop which covers as many issues that occur with Power BI Desktop as possible. 

 

Should you come across other issues in the future with Power BI Desktop, it's helpful to turn on tracing and gather log files. Log files may help to isolate and identify the issue. To turn on tracing, choose File > Options and settings > Options, select Diagnostics, and then select Enable tracing. Power BI Desktop must be running to set this option, but it's helpful for future issues associated with opening Power BI Desktop.

@AvPowerBI , uninstall and reinstall, make sure no windows patch is pending.

 

I do not see any issue reported like this here

But after resintall still you face issue, log an issue

Trust me it is happening, and have installed it again a few times now; cannot do any work
