Use EZConnect Format
Instead of using just the alias (rtmprddb), try:
hostname:port/service_name
Example:
myserver.example.com:1521/rtmprddb
Reinstall or Repair Oracle Client
- Reinstall the Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) or Oracle Instant Client.
- Make sure the Sep release of Power BI can access the same Oracle client as the Aug release.
Check Registry and Paths
- Ensure the registry entries for Oracle client are intact.
- Compare environment variables between the two Power BI versions.
