Power BI Desktop Hangs on Load

On opening Power BI Desktop (not a PBIX, the application), I get the splash screen saying "formatting just got easier," which I can close, and the outline of the regular splash screen at which point I can do nothing. Can't even resize or close the window.

Things I've tried:

• Uninstalling / reinstalling PBI (update: both 32- and 64-bit from manual download, whatever Microsoft Store gives me, and the older PBI Desktop for Report Server)
• Uninstalling Edge Web View 2
• Checked if Windows ransomware protection was blocking it (it was not on the list)
• Running as administrator
• Update: Guessing where the close window button would be gets me in, but then I try to open the settings and get data windows and they too are blank.

@saber123456 Does your machine meet the minimum requirements for Power BI Desktop? You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Any idea how to open an actual ticket? I have Pro but I'm caught in a loop of a virtual agent showing me unhelpful FAQs.
