Power BI Desktop Freezing Issue

Hi, I have seen similar posts about the Power BI Desktop freezing issue. I am connected to a published dataset and when leaving the report on more than half an hour, it will proceed to freeze and am no longer able to click anything on the program and have to force end Power BI desktop. 

I saw a previous thread that a fix is coming in the next update, when is the next update supposed to happen?

Hi @souldish ,

This issue has been submitted internally.

Internal ICM ID: 292414996.

New version have a known issue with live datasets which Product Group is working to resolve.
PG states that this will be fixed in the April release of Power BI Desktop, and likely patched in the March release based on internal stability testing.
Cx is currently using 2 workarounds, one is to work with October 2021 PBI desktop and the other one is connect directly to SQL servers via import mode.

I've experienced this as well, especially when working with large Power BI datasets.  Definitely gotten in the habit of saving every few minutes...
