Ok, so first of all, thank you in advance for any help that can be provided. I am not certain how to explain the problem, which is why I was unsuccessful in searching for an answer.
I notice what seem to be "preview" images of items I'm working on in the Power BI tutorial - please see screen shot.
Any idea if this is simply a setting that can be changed?

I guess your screen resolution has changed when you open power bi desktop, right? If this is a case, I'd like to suggest you to clean up power bi cache files and restart your device.
