Power BI Desktop Browser Update

Hello,

Can we please get a browser update in Power BI Desktop that supports connecting to many of the offered connectors login pages? Zendesk for example does not support the current browser in Power BI. I see that Salesforce has issues here and there as well. It would be great if the user could select their default browser in Power BI to really get the most out of these connectors.

Thanks,

Jim D.

      Hey,

Thank you for the quick reply. Yeah, I saw this post but it looks like this is applicable to Power BI 365 (web player). I'm looking for a solution inside Power BI Desktop. Is there a way inside Power BI Desktop to change which browser it uses to sign in to a connection to a connector? Zendesk specifically. The web browser that opens inside Power BI Desktop throws errors when attempting to connect. It seems an updated browser other than the default browser inside Power BI Desktop (assuming IE but I could be wrong) is the issue.

      Thanks!

      Jim

    Hi, Anonymous

Sorry, the default browser connection can't be changed if there is no option selected.

You can sumbit an idea here to help us improve power bi and make this feature coming sooner.

You can also check it :Connect to Zendesk with Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

By default, Salesforce does not support Internet Explorer 11, which is used as part of the authentication experience to online services in Power Query Desktop. Please opt-in for extended support for accessing Lightning Experience Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 11

    Best Regards
