Power BI Desktop Automation
Is there a way to automate refreshing the dataset in Power BI desktop without the use of Microsoft Azure, a gateway, or OneDrive? The files I am trying to refresh will be on my desktop and they are csv files.

If you just want to use Power BI desktop to refresh data automatically, instead of using Microsoft Azure, a gateway, or OneDrive, there is no option in Power BI desktop to meet it.
Here is an idea about automate refreshing the dataset in Power BI desktop. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.
