In transforms I changed a field to a Date type. Now when using the field in a table it shows a long date format.
How do I get it to only show the short format?

After data is loaded , you can select that column and use "Column tools" menu and change format as below snipit

It took me a while to notice the buttons on the left side.

You can adjust the format of the column in the Column Tab settings.
Select column and then in the tab click and select:
