Helper IVPower BI Dataset refresh option disabled
No problem,
To make it simple to understand : in Power Bi desktop you connect to the URL via Web connector "API" that comes with Power Bi package. Once you publish the report to the service, the service itself will need a way to connect and refresh the datat. The Gateway is here for that purpose : connect and refresh the report in the service.

I am newbie to the Power BI and might be question did sound funny.
Why do we need to install Gateway, whay would we need that.
