Hi all
I have a Power BI dataset I have published to the service. It has 2 data sources.
1: Azure API with Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key
2: Dynamics 365 Business Central
In power BI Desktop I can refresh the dataset perfectly
When I publish to the service the refresh fails.
The element that fails is refresh of a query that merges data from the 2 data sources.
Because both data sources are cloud data sources Power BI service use a virtual gateway.
any suggestions on how to get this to work? If possible I would prefer not being forced to use a On-premises gateway.
Michael
Hi Alice
See below
Hmm, I haven't run into this one before. I usually get the message for the 'Data source credentials' section.
Maybe open each of the sections in the Settings and see if you have any warning signs?
I have made 2 datasets with the separate data sources. It produces no errors.
I made a version with both data sources, bur didn't make a query that merged datafrom the 2 data sources. It produces no errors.
I suspect that the error occour because the authentication on the data sources are different. the Business central requires the Microsoft login, and the Azure API uses a token and thus it's set up with anonymous authentication.
Hi Michael,
What's the error message being displayed?
