We have a lot of reports with Analysis Services Live Connections. We would like to convert these to Power BI Dataset Live Connections.
I can not find a way to do this via the UI. What is the easiest (least labor-intensive) way to accomplish this?
Thanks!

Hi @sean_browning ,
Sorry, I am not sure about your requirement...Do you want to connect to Analysis service via Power BI Datasets?
1. Publish pbix(Analysis service with Live Connection ) to service.
2. In Desktop, click "Get data" --> Power BI Datasets
Best regards,
Eyelyn Qin
Evelyn,
We are able to do that for new files, but when there is an existing PBIX file with a Live Connection to Analysis Services, I don't know how to convert that file to have a Live Connection to Power BI Dataset.
My goal
Existing PBIX with Live SSAS Connection >> PBIX with Live PBI Dataset Connection
So far, I do not see a simple method to make this happen.
Excellent suggestion on tool from PowerBITips.com. I followed the code and found the steps are:
1. Add .zip to the file and open in File Explorer
2. Delete "Connections" and "Security Bindings" files in the zip archive.
3. Remove the .zip extension and open PBIX file as normal.
4. Choose Get Data from Power BI Dataset (Live)
