Title: Inforiver Reporting Matrix custom measure not deleting permanently in Power BI
Hi Team,
I am using the Inforiver Reporting Matrix custom visual in Power BI Desktop.
I created custom measures/formula columns inside the Inforiver visual (not Power BI DAX measures). When I right click the measure header and select “Delete Measure”, the measure gets removed temporarily. However, after saving the PBIX, closing Power BI, and reopening the report, the deleted measure appears again automatically.
I also tried the following:
Used “Manage Measures” from the Inforiver ribbon and deleted the measure there
Saved the PBIX after deletion
Closed and reopened Power BI Desktop
Checked that the measure is not present in the normal Power BI fields pane
Removed the measure from the visual wherever possible
Still, the measure keeps returning after reopening the report.
My questions are:
Is there a proper way to permanently delete Inforiver custom measures/formula columns?
Does Inforiver store deleted measures in visual metadata/config/templates internally?
Can templates/config/reuse theme backup restore deleted measures automatically?
Is this expected behavior or a known issue in some Inforiver versions?
Is there any dependency check tool available to identify where the custom measure is still being referenced?
Do we need to reset visual config or recreate the visual completely to permanently remove the measure?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thank you.
I am assuming you purchased license of xviz InfoRiver visual. It was created by Lumel, In my option considerign its a custom visual and that too paid visual you should contact their support team and should report this. You can reachout to them from this link below

Hello,
You could try duplicating the visual without the measure, or exporting/reimporting the visual config if Inforiver supports that. I’d also check if the measure is referenced in calculations, templates, bookmarks, or conditional formatting somewhere hidden.
