Hi all, i have a number of tables that work as required in the PBI desktop client.
i have added some basic Conditional formatting icons to show up, down or flat for Year On Year comparisons. they work and are visible on the desktop PBIX.
However, when i publish to the service, the icons are not visible , they are just not there. i have tried it multiple times and cannot make it work.
Is there some hidden option i need to select in the PBI desktop settings or in the Service settings to make them appear? its very frustrating!
Hi @Anonymous ,
I can't reproduce your problem. Could you please provide the related screenshots which visuals with icons display in your Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service separately? Besides that, please check whether you turn on the option "Icons" under Conditional formatting tab in Format Pane after publish to Power BI Service. Thank you.
Best Regards
Hi please see the screenshots. this is the same table one in Desktop one in service. this is the same table, same date range.
One is showing the icons and one isnt.

Hi @Anonymous ,
Could you please check whether the option "Icons" under Conditional formatting tab in Format Pane in Power BI Service has been turned off?
Best Regards
@Anonymous , it should have worked. As there is no seperate option.
Please clear the browser cache, publish again and check.
Also make sure you are on the latest version on power bi desktop
Hi i have tried all of that and have added conditional formatting to a separate PBIX and uplaoded it and it still did not show up in the service.
this is very frustrating!
Conditional formatrting with colour gradients worked but not using icons.
