I need to update existing bookmarks in our dashboard using selected visuals. I have followed the ff steps:
1. Select the specific bookmark
2. Select the affected visuals from the Selection Pane
3. Choose the "Selected visuals" instead of "All visuals"
4. Click on "Update"
The bookmark is getting updated. However, when I click on the button with the bookmark action, the view does not work and reflect properly.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @katherine_susar ,
It sounds like you're following the correct steps to update a bookmark using "Selected visuals," but the issue may be related to how bookmarks interact with visibility, filters, and slicers. When using "Selected visuals," Power BI only captures the state (such as visibility, filters, and sort order) of the visuals explicitly selected—not the rest of the report page.
If other visuals or slicers are affecting the view but are not included in your selection during the update, the bookmark won't reflect their intended state when triggered. To resolve this, double-check that all relevant visuals—including slicers or filters impacting the view—are selected before updating the bookmark. Also, confirm that the button is correctly linked to the right bookmark and that no conflicting actions or overlapping visuals are present on the page. If needed, try deleting and recreating the bookmark and the associated button to clear any hidden configuration issues.

Hi @katherine_susar,
Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.
Thank you @BhavinVyas3003 for the helpful response.
Please follow below steps to acheive this;
1.Make sure only the correct visuals are selected in the Selection Pane when updating the bookmark.
2.Double-check visibility and state (filters, slicers) of those visuals at the time of update.
3.erify the button setup:
->Action is set to "On"
->Type is "Bookmark"
->Correct bookmark is selected
4.Try "All visuals" as a test to rule out selection issues.
5.Clear cache or restart Power BI Desktop if behavior seems stuck
Please continue using Microsoft Community Forum.
