I have difficulities in locate the right place in power bi, especially Florida, also Missispi. I have defined the columns as county but does't work. Some examples below:
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @Kiki0919 -you can select the column in your data model.Under the Modeling tab, look for the Data Category dropdown.Set the category as County.
For greater precision, add latitude and longitude values for each county. Power BI can more accurately locate places when geographical coordinates are provided. You can either obtain this information from an external dataset or use mapping tools to find the coordinates.
If the issue persists, consider using custom map visuals, like ArcGIS or Mapbox, which may offer better geocoding accuracy and customization options.
you can also try some concatenation approach like
FullLocation = [County] & ", " & [State]
Solved: Incorrect map location - Microsoft Fabric Community
Hope the above information works
