Power BI Automation

I am trying to automatically refresh my datasets in a power bi report on power bi desktop. Is there a way to acheive this without the use of Microsoft Azure, OneDrive, Sharepoint, or a gateway? I have the csv files on my desktop imported into the Power BI report and I just want the files to update every hour. Is there any way I can do this maybe with an R script or powershell script?

    Hi su1337,

     

    Automatic refresh is not available within Power BI Desktop. You can only refresh the dataset manually by clicking the Refresh button in it.

     

    If you require the automatic refresh, I would suggest you to publish your report to Power BI Service and use scheduled refresh option.
