Power BI App Experience for User

Hi,

I have published an app on power BI Service with a premium per user license.  One of my colleagues can view the app with an App-like experience - like all reports, the app's navigation bar, etc. However, my other colleague is unable to see it as an App, rather see it as a bunch of reports not a collection of reports which an app is supposed to look & feel like. Is there anything in the settings of a user which prevents them to view the app or could it be that one user doesn't have power BI premium per user license?

Any ideas?

Hi  @FarhanMalik ,

Check the licenses for apps:

To create or update an app, you need a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license. For app consumers, there are two options.

  • Option 1 The workspace for this app is not in a Power BI Premium capacity: All business users need Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) licenses to view your app.
  • Option 2 The workspace for this app is in a Power BI Premium capacity: Business users without Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) licenses in your organization can view app content. However, they can't copy the reports, or create reports based on the underlying datasets. Read What is Power BI Premium? for details.

For reference,pls see below:

Best Regards,
Kelly

@FarhanMalik , PPU User content can be shared with PPU users only.
