Power Automate CSV output not updating when opened in Excel
- Anonymous7 months ago
Hi adapodaneevera,
This normally happens because the Excel file still contains some invalid values even though they are not visible. In Excel, values like N/A are treated as error values, not normal text, so Trim and Clean will not remove them. That is why Power BI still throws errors.
Another common reason is that mobile number or pincode columns come from Excel as numbers or scientific format, and Power BI keeps switching the type in the background even after you change it to Text.
Please try replacing errors with null first, then set the column type to Text, and only after that apply Clean and Trim. Also, if possible, set the column format to Text directly in Excel before loading it into Power BI.
This is a data formatting issue from Excel, not a Power BI issue.
Hope the above provided information help you resolve the issue, if you have any further concerns or queries, please feel free to reach out to us.
