Is there a way to get a Power App to populate a visual in Power BI?
This is the information I need to make a visual from:
Every time a user enters a start time and end time, I need a visual that would populate with the total time entered.
Example:
1st user enters 06:30 start and 08:00 end. The visual would then populate with 1.5 hrs.
2nd user enters 13:00 start and 13:30 end. The visual would add to previous entry and populate with 2.0 hrs.
3rd user enters 17:15 start and 18:00 end. The visual would add to previous entry and populate with 2.75 hrs.
This would need to continue to add throughout the day as many times as a user enters data.
Is this possible?
Thank you.

Hi @NABadillo2325 ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
Yes, this scenario is possible as mentioned by @ExcelMonke , but Power Apps cannot write directly into a Power BI visual or dataset. The data must first be stored in a supported source such as Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, or a Lakehouse table.
Your Power App should save each Start Time and End Time entry into the chosen data source. Power BI can then connect to that source and calculate the duration for each record, and a measure can be used to sum all durations to show the running total for the day. If you need near real-time updates, you can use DirectQuery or enable automatic page refresh in the Power BI Service. This setup will allow the visual to update continuously as users submit new entries.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out for any further questions.
Thank you.
Hello,
Short answer - yes there is a way for Power Apps to integrate into Power BI. My org is doing this right now. Although we have engineers helped design the data base... so I am not sure how to get that data into the Power BI datatable...
