Hi. I'm facing an issue with popup dialogs, where the content is not scaling properly and the popup windows are fixed in size. This is a very frustrating user experience where I need to scroll within the popup to see / select all the relevent options. I am facing it with Groups dialog for example:
I am running the May 18th release of PBI Desktop (although I have had this problem with several releases already), my screen resolution is 1920x1200. I have tried different resolutions, different scaling in Windows Display settings, none of it made the content fit. But I really don't understand why the window cannot be just resized by dragging the edge.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We recommend raising this issue in the official Microsoft Power BI issues forum. If more users vote or comment on it, Microsoft is more likely to prioritize it, and consider addressing it in a future update.
Your feedback is valuable, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hi @Janos ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
We understand this can be frustrating, and we're sorry for the inconvenience caused by the fixed-size dialog popup in Power BI Desktop. This is a known limitation and can significantly affect usability, especially when working with large value lists or on high-resolution displays.
There’s currently no way to resize the dialog box, and this is a known limitation.I recommend submitting your detailed feedback and ideas through Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as the Microsoft Fabric Ideas. Feedback submitted through these channels is frequently reviewed by the product teams and can contribute to meaningful improvements.

Maybe we use the term "known limitation" differently. This is a regression that was introduced a few months back.
I agree, and it's been an issue for me for a few months now as well.
This is a breakage of a previously functioning, basic feature and I'm disappointed that the proper attention hasn't been given to fixing it. Trying to merge tables in the Query Editor when you cannot even read the table selection fields is a pretty big deal in terms of loss of functionality.
There are several instances of people experiencing this and we shouldn't have to all "gang up" on the Support Ticket people just to have an item fixed that the development team should be already made aware of.
None of the few shared workarounds solved the issue for me, and since this bug has existed for numerous releases now it would require stepping back many versions (and losing all the accumulated feature additions) just to have a properly functioning pop-up window size again. This is incredibly frustrating for me and my fellow Power BI developers.

Hi @Janos ,
Just checking, have you had a chance to open a issue ticket, as suggested. If so, we'd love to hear the current status or any updates from that.
If the issue was resolved through the support ticket, it would be great if you could share the solution here as well. It could really help other community members find answers more quickly.
Warm regards,

Hi @Janos ,
Thank you for pointing that out ,you make a valid distinction.
You're absolutely right to call this out as a regression if this behavior worked properly in earlier versions and then changed recently. In that case, referring to it as a "known limitation" might not be accurate, and we appreciate you highlighting that.
The issue you're facing is very similar to one that another user encountered earlier. That issue has been resolved, and the solution might be helpful in your case as well.

While there’s currently no official fix or resizing option available in the latest Power BI Desktop builds, it would indeed be helpful if this issue were addressed as a regression in future updates. We'd recommend reporting it directly to Microsoft via the Power BI Support or Fabric Ideas portal, and flagging it specifically as a regression. The product team monitors these reports closely, and regressions often get prioritized more quickly.
