I am curious if anyone has experience adding a calculated column (or any other means) that would be data that represents a polynomial fit to current data in a table.
In the example below, the blue line represents a few thousand points of data in the "CD" column and the red line is the polynomial fit of the "CD" data points. The graph was created in Excel, but I would like to have the capacity to complete this in Power BI.
Any thoughts on how to create the data to manufacture the red line?
Any help or direction to articles/information/blog posts would be appreciated.

According to your description, i think your requirement can not be reached completely in Power BI, but i have a workaround.
Please try to use Scatter Chart visual, and add a trend line to this visual, it shows:
