Plot 2 date columns in Line Chart

Hello Power BI comrades,

I wish to plot 2 date columns on the same x-axis of a Line Chart. Both columns have the MM-DD-YYYY format and I have tried to put either of the two date columns on the Axis and clicked on "show items with no data" but that only really reflects only the data of one date column at a time.

Can you please give any hint on how I should solve this? I am quite new to DAX syntax but I will try whatever you suggest.

HI @Anonymous

If you plot two columns on X - axis how willt the graph know which direction to follow for aggregation date1 or Date2.

What you can do is have a drill down on the graph so that you can drill at whichever date level you need the grapf to show and then drill back up again.

Hi @Anonymous

I found a similar issue , it mentioned using USERELATIONSHIP DAX to deal with . You can refer to it .

Hi @Anonymous ,

Many thanks for your reply!

Basically I wish to plot those 2 date columns on an x-axis that represents months (from Jan to Dec) even with null data. I just dont know how to include the months (maybe via another table?) and include it in my chart. The idea is to provide a comparison of the 2 date columns on a monthly basis on the same chart. 🙂
