Please help a Power BI noob
Hi guy's I have started working with Power BI having worked on Power Automate and Power BI previously and seem to be struggling with some things which I thought would be fairly straightforward.
I have been tasked with creatinga visualisation of a sharepoint list which is tracking employee's movements (Holidays, Training etc) I have doen a few online courses on Power BI so I am aware of it's capabilities but have come unstuck when it comes to choosing which application to use. The SharePoint Integrated app seems the most straightforward but I cannot seem to find the list's calculated columns when I open that app.
The most obvious idea would be to use Desktop version as this has the most functionality(or seems to). As soon as I try using the desktop version it falls over trying to use thePerson/Group field by returning List.
What little hair I have left I am pulling it out 🤣🤣

You can use DAX to create calculated columns in Power BI Desktop.

As for the "Person" or "Group" fields you see displayed as a list, you can find them by navigating to "Power Query" and finding the " People/Groups" column.
Expand the column by clicking the expand icon (two arrows) in the column header. Select the specific fields you want.
You can then Close and Apply.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. At the moment I have had to focus on a few other jobs I have on, I had assumed it was all pretty straight forward, but I had under estimated the task ion front of me. As soon as I can pick this up again I will go through and let you know the out come. Many thanks again
