Hi all,
I want to publish a Power BI dashboard and I need to plan the data source refresh, but it’s deactivated. I’m receiving a popup saying that at least 1 data source doesn’t have credentials entered.
I’m using as source 2 databases (SQL database and Amazon redshift), and I want to publish this report in my Workspace.
Additional info, I’m creating this report based on “Import” not “Direct query”.
Can you please help me on how can I connect my workspace to the 2 data sources I’m using in the dashboard to let the refresh works?
Thanks a lot!
@Betty888 , Go to workspace, from the three dots near to dataset open settings.
After that check does if need on-premise gateway, if yes setup that
After that check the data source credentials
Power BI Install On-Premise Gateway and configure it on service: https://youtu.be/lObMRofpbQ8
Hi @amitchandak ,
Very many thanks !!!
The video is very useful, I was able to create the gateway and add the SQL server database. It's a very good video , I recommend it to all users.
Just one additional issue 🙏 in some of my dashboards , I'm connected to 2 databases (SQL and Amazon redshift), but I don't see how can I identify in my gateway 2 different data sources, any insights?
Thanks again !
