Place a blank column in the layout

So I have this visiual :

rpinxt_0-1654605276059.png

What I want to achieve is a blank row where these yellow lines are.

That way it is nicer to compare the same months of differen years.

Because I also would want to turn this visual in a graph and have blank column between the bars.

I saw online Bas of "how to power BI" do this with calculation items in Tabular editor.

But I cannot reproduce it.

Probably because I am trying to do this with dates? He did it with measures.

Is there a way I can accomplish this with dates/periods?

And to add to this @NickolajJessen when I put the blank column in the measures, this is what happens:

I want both Januaries (and other months) of 2021 and 2022 together.

Putting the blank in the measures adds also a blank between 2021 and 2022 jan and I do not want that.

Solution Sage

1. Create measure that returns BLANK()
2. Add to matrix

3. Rename on the visual to just be "-" (you can't rename it to be all blank sadly)
4. Optionally add color to the column to separate

Appreciate your kudos! 😊

Thanks but I cannot add the measure to the columns of the matrix...
