As @Greg_Deckler said, to render data like pivot table in Excel, you can use Matrix.

If you need to add filters like pivot table, you can use slicer visual for selection to filter data.

Hello. I have a matrix setup and want to group products together, like I would in an Excel pivot table so that their data is aggregated and shows under the group name that i stipulate. I tried cntrl+ clicking the two rows I want to group, then right-click, but there is no menu option to Group. Any ideas?

Regards,

but what if i want to compare entries after the pivot is created?

Lets say i want to create a pivot with rows as (organisation names) and columns as 3 years and values as the sum of revenue (different people of the same organisation). Next i want to assign a status by comparing the change in revenue for each row. Pivot typically allows that by aggregating entries by organisation name and then i use a simple IF function in excel

How do i do this i power bi ? not just functionality but i need to make comparison?

How about grouping, like Excel?

Thank you. But how can we sort data by the first column? As you can see in your example, the calendar years are not sorted in the right order.

@YingHuan

RE ordering

In the query editor, sort the column or sort my another column. [YEAR] for instance which is an INT

But we cannot drill down like excel.

I used one control AP Matrix light.

You can get from the store.

You would use the Matrix visualization. Third row, farthest right.
