Phased Salary

Hi everybody,

I have a start date, end date and salary column for employees and I want to calculate phased salary. For instance, A earn 48000 per year. The start date is April 8 and the end date is July 1. The phased salary equals to 48000/12*2.25.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

@kenneth0596 ,

Try using DATEDIFF to add a calculated column.

Why 2.25?  Explain.

I assume one month has four weeks so A works for 2 months and one week which is 2.25

Hi,

If someone starts on April 8, he works for 23 days in that month and thereafter for the 2 complete months.  How does that become 2.25?
