Personalized views General Release
Hello,
I have a couple of questions below:
1) The first question is regarding the Personalized views feature that was released in Apr 2020 in the Preview mode . When will this feature be available in General release?
2) The second question is a more generic one. Do all the features that are released as Preview only initially, become available in General release later? Is there a chance that some won't make it to General Release at all, and also be removed from Preview only modes? The reason is to understand the risk in introducing the features in Preview modes to our end users.

Currently, there is no specific plan from the Power bi team regarding to when to updated the feature into general release. Personalized views feature is still on testing and improving. Once the feature usability becomes constant,, it will then be planed to release in the generate updates. Power BI publishes release plans. Each edition covers 6 months. I saw in the Wave 1 2020 Release Plan, that the Personalized Views feature is listed as Preview in May 2020...but there is no date for GA. I looked in Wave 2 2020 Release Plan, and the Personalized Views feature isn't yet listed.
It is very rare for a Preview features to never GA. If you want to follow the progress of this feature, keep checking the Wave 2 Release Notes. They're updated regularly. Once the Personalized Views feature is done being tested and updated, the PM will add a GA date into the Release Notes.
Here is a definition of the Wave 2 2020 Release Plan: The Microsoft Power Platform release plan for the 2020 release wave 2 describes all new features releasing from October 2020 through March 2021 for Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder, Power Virtual Agents, and Common Data Model and data integration.
