Hello,
I am new to Power BI/the community so forgive me if this isnt the right forum.
I am trying to create a chart that shows sales by price point (sales being the y-axis & price point being the x-axis) and would prefer the price points to be in ascending order ($1, $2, $3, etc.) but the screenshot below was the result. I looked online and found a possible solution is to select the 'Personalized Visuals' box under options. However when I selected it, the personalized visuals icon was there in the top right corner, but nothing happens when I click on it. I have tried restarting Power BI, uninstalling, nothing is working.
Along with this issue, I do have a general question, regarding the visualizations:
Why is that when I change the x-axis 'type' from continuous to categorical, the price points are in ascending order, but in categorical (shown in screenshot) the order switches? I am not able to leave it in continuous because some of the price points do not exist, and I wouldnt want to have the fields in the report.
Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
Did you set the proper sort for the field [price point] in your visual just as below screenshot? In order to make troubleshooting and give you a suitable solution, could you please provide some raw data in your table (exclude sensitive data) with Text format, your visual Fields settings and your expected result with backend logic and special examples? It would be helpful to find out the solution. And It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. You can refer the following link to upload the file to the community. Thank you.
