Personal Gateway offline error

Hello folks,

I am facing this error that Personal Gateway is offline. I updated the gateway, also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the gateway, removed and republished the report, but still couldn't able to use the gateway.I was able to sign in to gateway and no issues at all with all that.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi @raasrini,

Based on the above screenshot, you don’t install Power BI personal gateway. Which type of gateway you choose to install in the following screenshot, on-premises gateway or personal gateway? If you want to install personal gateway and use it, please make sure this server running personal gateway is not asleep or turned off and is on and connected to the network, otherwise the personal gateway will be offline.


In addition, which data sources are contained in the current dataset? If you have installed on-premises gateway, you can add the data sources under the registered on-premises gateway, then refresh your dataset using on-premises gateway.
