Persist hierarchy not working when selecting multiple values in field parameters
I have created a field parameter to be used to show or hide specific columns in my matrix table. With the Jan 2026 version we can choose to enable or disable persist heirarchy. I chose to enable it as i do not want my columns disappearing after the user selects or deselects a column. Now, the issue is this: I put my field parameters in the Rows and my metrics in the values. I created my slicer as well using the field parameters. I select the fields I want to see and expand the heirarchy to the lowest and it is fine. the moment i deselect and of the options in my slicer, everything resets and the expanded heirarchy rolls up.
Has anyone enocuntered this before and how was it resolved.
thanks
thanks Natarajan_M After much fiddling with it, i was able to find a work around. what i found out was that if there was another column placed below the field parameter in the Rows well, the persistent hierarchy would behave as expected. So what i did was to create a blank column, placed it below the field parameter in the Rows well and gave it a blank title and hid that column in the matrix( see screenshot below) . That worked out pretty well and gave me what i wanted. Thanks for your suggestion and help 🙂

Thanks, would you know if they plan to fix it with the next release?

Hi Ogonna ,
I think the closest solution could be using bookmarks.
Bookmark Reset Button:
Create a bookmark with the slicer in the desired expanded state, insert a button, and assign the bookmark to the button. Users can then click the button to restore the expanded state after a deselection.
