Persist graphic selection when the navagation bookmark button is activate

Hi!
I am working with the insertion of bookmark buttons. There are three overlapping bar charts. I have observed that when selecting an item from one of the charts, the other two are also altered, which is the desired behavior when clicking on the navigation button created using the insert bookmark buttons option. However, this is not happening.

To clarify, I do not want to merely use my slicer guide to replicate the filter across panels. I want the following: when I select an item in the first chart and click the view button for the second chart, it should allow me to view the data filtered by the selection made in the first chart, and so on.

I am aware that using slicers can achieve this functionality, but I want this to work with chart selection as well. Is there an option that allows me to do this, or perhaps another configuration strategy to create these buttons?

Thanks.

Hi @AlexBrito ,

You can use data from one chart to filter another related chart, then create bookmarks, save the current state, and finally create buttons and bind the bookmarks you created earlier.

You can also select whether each bookmark applies other properties in the report. To make these changes, select More options (...) next to the bookmark name, then select or clear the check marks next to Data, Display, and other controls. The options are:

  • Data properties, such as filters and slicers.
  • Display properties, such as spotlight and its visibility.
  • Current page changes, which present the page that was visible when the bookmark was added.
  • Choose between All visuals and Selected visuals.

Hello Clara Gong,

Thank you very much for the guidance.
I tested all of them, but I couldn't perform the action I wanted.
As I said, if I apply the filter using the data segmentation, the actions of the bookmark buttons work.
However, if I try to apply the filter using the selection in the chart itself, the moment I switch panels using the bookmark buttons, the chart resets.
The difficulty is that the users who interact with the dashboard prefer to apply filters by selecting items in the chart itself.
I must admit that I don't know how to proceed and if the action I want to perform is really possible.

I create a video to show what are happen.

Thanks,

Alex.
