Percentages displaying as decimals

Hi all,

Percentages, taken from a column turned into Percentage Type, currently display as decimals in the report view (i.e., 0,87 instead of 87%).

How do I correct it in a "cleaner" way than duplicating the source column, multiplying by 100 and adding % at the end.

Thanks,

In the data model, click on the column and then go to the Modeling tab and click the "%" format button.

Hello,

I did change the format from Decimal Number to Percentages in the Query Editor Window. However, it still shows Decimals on the visualization. Thoughts?

Wonderful, thank you so much - did not even know about this wonderful tab!

Alternatively if you didn't want to set your data field to be treated as a percentage globally, then on you chart you can right click on the Value, and at the bottom of the context menu there is Show value as...

On here there should be some percentage options.

Thanks, though for some reason I can't find this option.

Am I clicking on the right item? (cf. pictures below)

Capture2.PNGCapture.PNG

What version of Desktop are you running? I've got Version: 2.55.5010.641 64-bit (February 2018)

Odd, I'm using the exact same one

Hmm. You're right clicking on your Average of Unemployment Rate? Is this a data column or a DAX measure (don't know if it matters)

I've changed my visual to a funnel and the option is still there. What if you create a new report visual?

Spot on!

Didn't work because it was a measure and not a value.

Got it now, though this will only work if the total of your percentages is equal to 1. Otherwise, you get 100% everywhere 🙂

Thank you so much @Chris99 for your kind, sharp and top helpful assistance on all my posts 🙂

@Arcturus

Glad to help. I'll be needing the forums plenty in the months to come, so hopefully I'm building up some karma points Smiley Happy
