I import an excel format which has the data as a percentage. In the query editor, I change the date type to percentage. The date changes from decimal value to percentage (e.g. .853 becomes 85.3%).
When I go to actually use the value in a visualization it just shows up as the decimal representation.

Hi there, I have the same issue, but the under the modelling tab this option is inactive and I cannot change anything.
Can you please advise why?
Thanks, Szilárd
Try changing the format in the Modeling tab
I am facing the same problem. My Data Source is Sql Server Table.
Power Query Editor has the data marked as Percentage (Datatype) but this is not reflecting in the Power BI Visualization (either in Table or in other Reports).
Its working. After selecting the " Specific Column" under "Fields" pane.
As attached 🙂
derp! thanks.
