Pass User Inputs (filter/slicer selections) to Python Scripts or to database

Hi,

Is there a way in power BI , where I can capture user selections through filter/slicer in power BI on the fly? I need to pass these selection values (mainly date range & the product list) to python scripts and run the analysis on the fly based on user selection. Is it possible in power BI?

Or is there a way to capture user selection values as a table and pass it to any backend tool.

Thanks in Advance

@amitchandra

Thank you for sharing this.

I need to pass these slicer values to the data source (i want to use python as data source). As python visuals are images and it does not support filtering other visuals on the page based on the slection in python visual , I need to connect to python as my data source as direct query mode and pass my filter vlues to backend based on user iselection. Do you think that can be achieved in power BI?
