Pareto Chart Order X Axis

Hi all,

I have a really important question. I have created a pareto chart, however I would like the X-axis chart to be ranked by Payment Terms and not the cumulative value of the item as shown on the chart.
Can you advise me what to change in the chart to do this?
Thank you!

Maybe it's not meant to be entirely a Pareto chart, but I do care that the line on the chart starts according to payment terms. Ultimately I would like it to be ranked as below is there an option to adjust the chart for that result??

In that case I will know that for example 80% of all cases are due in next 60 days.

      Hi, Anonymous

You mean, you want to sort the X-Axis like the picture?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

In this case, you have to create an Index-number-column for the Paymentterm-category to set up the sort-order.

You can easily create the index number column in PowerQuery Editor.

      I hope it helped.

        HI Jihwan_Kim
I have for each payment term the index column:

So each row has the index number for a payment term. All I want to do is a cumulative measure not from the biggest one but from the first one...

      Hi, Anonymous

I just saw that you added the blue line in the picture.

Does the blue line mean accumulate the total amount of paymentterm-category?

If so, you can create a measure that describes the cumulative total.

If you can share the sample pbix file or the sample data, I can try to create it.

      Thank you.

  • Hi, Anonymous

Please correct me if I wrongly understood your data.

In my opinion, if the order in the X-Axis is changed, then it will not look like Pareto Chart.

However, if you still want to change the order, please click the three dots on the right-upper corner in your visualization. At the very bottom, you can find the option how to change the order of the visualization.

If still does not work, then you need to set up the order for the PaymentTerm-Category.

Inside the table, select the paymentterm-column, and you can find the option shown as below.
