Parameter with unique application value

I would like to link a REST URL as datasource.

Would it be possible to have a Parameter that is populated with a reference to the BI Desktop application.

Is there some value that I can use in that Current Value field?

Somebody knows if there are application variables available that I could use for this?

I would then use the parameter to concatinate the source URL:

Via this way I could identify each application user on the system.

You'll need to assign an application id from your system.

This is indeed what I was looking for. Any idea how this can be done? Is this a text value between [ ] or { } ? Any idea where I can find these Application Variables?

Based on my experience, you might only input a predefined constant.
