Parameter Binding

Hi,

Parameter binding to columns in a table is working fine but only one question about it is when I am having the parameter (date parameter) binding to date column X , pulling this X date column as slicer is not giving the date or calendar kind of selection but it is lisiting out all the date values.

Please let me know possible ways.

Thank you

  • Hi Anonymous ,

Make sure the data type is Date or Date/time, if not, you won't be able to preview it as a calendar inside the slicer

If it doesn't solve your question, please provide a sample file or a screenshot to solve it faster.

    Best Regards,

    Gallen Luo

      Hi v-jialluo-msft

I binded my date as parameter, it didn't have calender/search selections in my report.

Not sure what I missed out.

You are missing the binding part. That is done in the data model view. It requires your data source to be in Direct Query Mode.
